I feel like everytime I come one here, I complain. But, I guess that this is the place to do it. Well, tonight, I found out some interesting news. I have been gone the last few mon night RCIA meetings. But, I have been making most of the sun morning meetings. This is due to my work schedule. I told this to the deacons. Well, they said they would discuss with me in person how to make this class thing work next time they see me on mon night, which I will not be able to attend again tomorrow. I have tried to explain this, but they will not listen to me. I talked to a monk at a nearby abbey, who said he would be happy to go over the stuff that I miss on mon nights. The problem, will be getting permission from the parish that I attend. Well, the news is they will be only confirm the people who make a certain amount of classes. I am getting frusterated. I think that it should be on an individual basis, and not the amount of classes you attend. I have done more outside studying than most of the other people in the classes. I want to be confirmed this easter, but I am fed up.
What do I do? Is there not a way where I can meet with a priest one on one? Or, is this God's way of telling me I should not convert?

I understand their reasoning behind only confirming those who attend classes. You can, too, right? But it would be so frustrating for you. You are trying to do the best you can, but still feel like it doesn't count. I would definately push for them take into account your circumstances. Perhaps the monk from the abbey could go to bat for you and contact your parrish about it?
Do you have a sponsor? Maybe they just need to hear it from more than you that you are serious about this conversion and you are taking it very seriously, but life and work is making it difficult for you right now.
{{{hugs}}} I'm sorry it hard for you right now.

| God's peace. Take heart! In many cases that I have witnessed, everything but the kitchen sink seems to be dropped in the path of those who are trying to become Catholic. I know of few things that infuriate the devil more than people moving in the direction of Truth. You must have a great place in God's design, and the darkness fears it! Blessings, ~Br_Carlo~

Right. The fullness of initiation takes place when all three of the sacraments are received together, but in the Latin Rite, it is normal for the three sacraments to be separated and it really isn't a problem.
