Hello, how long do the RCIA classes usually take to complete? When do they usually start also?

Tom.

Typically they start in the late summer or fall and reaches its climax at the Easter Vigil service on Holy Saturday (the evening before Easter), and then ends a few weeks after Easter.  It varies considerably from parish to parish, and is sometimes determined by a person's prior faith experiences.

Welcome to CHN.  If you have a few minutes, why don't you tell us a little about yourself?

Hi Tom-

RCIA usually starts in the fall and ends shortly after Easter.

If you are asking for yourself and you were raised Catholic, RCIA probably isn't necessary (unless you never received first communion - my parish then requires RCIA in most cases).  Talk to a priest or the RCIA director at your parish for more details.

Welcome to the Forum - we're so glad your here!
