Deacon Alex Jones: Former Pentecostal Minister

August 9, 2010 No Comments

Deacon Alex Jones returns to the Journey Home Program for this episode of questions from the viewers.  Deacon Jones was raised as a Pentecostal, and pastored two churches in this tradition for twenty-five years.  He converted to Catholicism in 2001 at the age of 59, along with 54 members of his congregation.  He was ordained to the Diaconate four years later in the Archdiocese of Detroit.  As a Pentecostal, Deacon Jones brings an interesting perspective to the Catholic Church.  He and Marcus share various topics including what evangelization means for Catholics and how best to carry the Gospel message both within the Church and to the world.
