Deacon Patrick Wilson: Former Presbyterian

May 28, 2012 No Comments

Deacon Patrick Wilson was born in Newark, OH into a protestant family which began as Methodists and then switched to a local Presbyterian church after a period of inactivity.  His family enjoyed singing.  In his later teens, Deacon Patrick explored other denominations until relocating to the Cambridge, OH area.  It was there that he met his wife-to-be.  She being a Catholic, invited him to Mass, where he felt “completely at home”.  They were married in the Church.  Over time Deacon Patrick became more active and eventually discerned a call to the permanent diaconate.
