Fr. Steve Gideon: Former Episcopal Priest

Background: /

January 29, 1999

Fr. Gideon was brought up in a devout Methodist family. In college he began to attend the Episcopal church. Their liturgy, sacrament and emphasis of history drew him toward it. He saw it as a fuller expression of the Christian faith. He felt God’s call to ministry and was ordained an Episcopal priest and served in that capacity for 16 years. Becoming concerned with the moral beak down of his denomination, he was attracted to the moral strength of Pope John Paul II. After a couple of years of discernment he entered the Catholic Church. He would eventually be ordained as a Catholic priest.
