Sr. Teresa Benedicta Block, OP: Life-long Catholic

June 13, 2005 No Comments

Sister Teresa is a life-long Catholic. Both of her parents, though, are converts, her father from Judaism and her mother from cultural Presbyterianism. Her mother was simultaneously an atheist and a Presbyterian minister. Her conversion to Christ and the Catholic faith came from attending classes taught by Dietrich and Alice von Hildebrand. Sister Teresa’s father became a Catholic Christian when the couple began to have children. Sister Teresa became a Dominican Sister of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist in 1999. She teaches at Spiritus Sanctus Academy in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
