Steven W. Mosher: Former Secular Humanist

April 28, 2000 No Comments

Steven, as a boy, was a Lutheran but lost his faith in college. For the next 20 years he was a secular humanist and an atheist. While in the Far East during the Vietnam War he became fascinated with Oriental Culture. While in China, he witnessed China’s one child policy, including forced abortions and sterilizations. He left China, still a secular humanist, but pro-life and now an agnostic. He began to work to end this mass slaughter. He discovered that that the people of the Pro-life Movement in America were the only ones to listen to him. Seeing the Gospel lived out in their lives, Steven was drawn to Christ and the Catholic Church. Steven is the president of the Population Research Institute. He has authored the book, “A Mother’s Ordeal: One Woman’s Fight Against China’s One-Child Policy”.  For more information, go to http://www.pop.org.
