George Butterfield was a shy kid who dreaded the coming-of-age public profession of faith that was customary in the country church he attended. It just so happened that when the time came for him to stand up in front of the congregation, much to his relief, the power went out! Marcus welcomes Fr. David Poecking to the program.  Growing up in Buffalo, NY, Fr. David was baptized and confirmed in the church of his family, Presbyterian.  While in the fourth grade, he was introduced to and moved by, the writings of J.R.R. Fr. Brian Mullady, OP, STD : Life-long Catholic

Father Mullady is a life-long Catholic. He is the son of an Air Force officer and was raised through out the United States. He entered the Dominican Order in 1966 and was Ordained in Oakland, California, in 1972.  He has been a parish priest, high school teacher, retreat master, mission preacher and university professor. Gordon grew up in a Christian home, raised and nurtured in the Methodist church. He drifted away in college and the army. He was drawn back to God through his future wife, Dale. Fr. E. Slider Steuernol: Former Presbyterian Minister

Fr. Steuernol was baptized Methodist, in West Virginia. At first he was ordained a minister in the United Church of Christ but later in the Presbyterian church. Fr. Steuernol visited a Trappist looking for a “supernatural thing in worship”. “As Protestants, we tend to be rational in our worship.” As a pastor, he got tired of feeling like the success of worship was based on how well he preached.
